Reading a listing

Start with the details.

A listed grade is the owner’s or dealer’s description unless a completed MADAR Verified review is explicitly stated. A grade alone does not mean that MADAR has reviewed the watch.

Where a MADAR Verified review is stated, it is limited to the photographs and information reviewed. It is not physical authentication, a movement inspection or an independent condition report. It does not certify authenticity or guarantee mechanical performance.

Photographs may not show every issue. Ask for current images and clarification of the year, condition, box and papers before proceeding.

MADAR Verified applies to watch listings. Jewelry and loose stones carry their own documentation and report details.
